Hello! I know you guys are thinking, man, this blog is always doing something! And I am. Today, I am sharing a little love for one of my favorite pattern companies, Sisboom Pattern Co. I have quite a few of their patterns and I have 3 Danas and my son wears his Ethan’s (well now Marco’s) everywhere we go. But today I am branching out from my 3 trusted patterns and I have sewn up a Devon peasant top.
Admittedly, I have never worn a peasant top. I made a lot of them for my daughter over the years but never one for myself so I am excited to share this one with you. First some quick details: This pattern has a gigantic size range going from XS-3XL. And it comes with multiple sleeve options and a great method of printing where you only have to print your size. Without further ado, here is my top.
I don’t know if I ever mentioned it but sewing is exclusively a hobby of mine. A very expensive hobby that makes a big mess but a hobby. My actual job is a scientist. I am such a big science geek and I love it! So I knew when I saw this fabric that it was for me obviously!
And I love the option of a fully functional time or a mock tie. I chose the functional tie because I had never worn one before and I like the adjust-ability of it. (Is that a word?) I also did a little creative colorblocking because of fabric shortages but I like the end result. Except that my super cheap Walmart broadcloth is impossible to iron well. But I will keep trying.
Overall, I have to say this pattern was just as great as I expected it to be. And it came together so quickly, I was surprised when I finished. I think I see another go to pattern in my arsenal. So head over to the Sisboom store and check out some of the amazing patterns And come back and let me know what you think.
Thanks for checking me out and stop back in soon!
