Spring Break Pajama Party!

Hello! I am always up for a fun blog tour and especially if I can make something that I really need.  And in this case, I hit gold. Welcome to the final day of the Spring Break PJ Blog Tour!  This is the ultimate sewing blog pajama party! And I love fun and funky pajamas! So I jumped at the chance to sew up some soft and pretties for myself.

First of all the pattern… I chose Callie’s Nightgown from EYMM. All of the EYMM patterns offer such a wide array of sizes (XS-5X) that they have something for everyone. And the patterns come together so quickly and easily!  Other than a few struggles with the facing, I assembled this nightgown in about an hour.  And there is even a girls version, the Riley nightgown!

For my fabric, I chose a super stretchy red and black chevron knit that I got from Hancock on one of my many shopping excursions. I love this fabric because it isn’t thick enough to be hot but thick enough not to be clingy.

And voila, I have sleepwear!

I sized up because I sleep like a drunk man rides a bike and I love to splay my long limbs in every direction. Really guys, it is dangerous! And I used short sleeves because I don’t know how people even sleep in long sleeves!

I am officially in love and already planning approximately a million more of these nightgowns!

  1. I identify so much with this post!! #1 – I still love chevron print. I know it is out of style now, but I can’t let it go yet. #2 – I also sleep “like a drunk man riding a bicycle,” and #3 – Sleeping in long sleeves feels like my arms are being strangled. So, I love, love, love your nightgown! Honestly, your garment turned out so nice that you could easily wear that to the grocery store and no one would bat an eye.

  2. Love your sleepshirt looks super comfy! It’s funny I too hate wearing long-sleeves. Even during the day. I have one pair of pjs I got as a gift that has long-sleeves and I can’t stand them and when I do wear them I push the sleeves up to my elbows. During the day I wear short-sleeve tops with cardigans and hoodies. I’ve always blamed it on having long arms and long sleeves on tops usually come an inch or so above my wrist and I can’t stand it. Thanks so much for being on the tour!
