Heeeyyyyy! I am back with an adorable dress from one of my favorite designers! I haven’t been sewing nearly as much and testing even less… especially as I get bigger and bigger. But when the opportunity arises to work with such a creative and talented designer like Steph from Eli Monster then you jump at the chance. Despite the Baby Fashionista and I clashing over wardrobe choices, I decided to make her one more dress before she adopts her dress-less new method. So I am glad to show you the newest release from The Eli Monster… the Spelen Dress! I absolutely love this dress and it is on sale to celebrate it’s release!
How adorable and fun! I let Bug pick her own fabric this time and her favorite color of the month is blue so this was the perfect opportunity to use these two fabrics together! The center panel is a great opportunity for a pop of color and the sides can either have ties (which I omitted) or not. The bodice can be a snaps/buttons closure or a zipper closure with color directions for both choices.
The fullness of this dress is probably one of my favorite parts. Although Bug has outgrown all of her underskirts, this dress still has a little poof and twirl factor. I couldn’t get her to agree to any twirl pictures in the snow and cold but I anticipate this dress will get some wear!
