Good morning! I am back already!!!! And with another blog tour! Look at me sewing up a storm! Today I am sharing my outfit for the Simple Life Pattern Company and Sew Caroline Blog Tour! And we have TWO wonderful fabric sponsors: Riley Blake Fabric and Art Gallery Fabrics. So officially: welcome to the SLPCo and Sew Caroline blog tour!!!
So, the two wonderful designers behind Simple Life Pattern Company and Sew Caroline decided to combine forces and give us what we all wanted: Mommy and Me Outfits!!! I was over the moon excited except I did not think I would be able to squeeze my post baby body in the women’s patterns just yet. But don’t count me out, I will return to modeling! Until then, I sewed up two of the girl’s patterns to beef up my Fashionista’s summer wardrobe! The Magnolia shorts and Waterfall tank are perfect bandmates and give the summer vibe we were looking for.
I was generously sponsored by Riley Blake Fabrics (Squeal!!!!!) and chose to use a few of the fabrics from their Enchanted line! Their fabric is such a wonderful quality: soft and comfortable… you almost forget you are sewing a woven! The “bib” of the tank is the Enchanted Main Navy fabric and the other two fabrics are the Mint Plaid and the Pink Plaid! I love patterns that I can use my ever growing stash of wovens on. The Magnolia tank has an adorable bib and the option for either tie straps or fitted straps! Due to the blossoming nature of my tween, I chose the tie straps so she can adjust it to her comfort.
The bias tape finishes of the tank and straps are quick and easy to apply and allowed my little designer to pick out her unique combination of colors! I am now letting her pick all the steps in the sewing process some of the time to keep her interested in being my model! All the way to the thread color…. sigh… don’t look too close!
The Waterfall shorts are quick and easy to assemble and have the option of a woven waistband and a knit yoga waistband. The wider legs are perfect for my dancer because she usually has an issue with shorts being too tight around her thighs. She found these to be comfortable and has already approved them to be a summer staple!
So now I guess I will have to sew up some matching outfits for myself! I can’t wait to try more of the patterns in this collection! You can check out the bundle options HERE or simply buy the patterns you fall in love with… which will probably be all of them!
Before I take off… a huge thank you to RB fabrics and AGF for sponsoring this tour and ensuring we are at the height of fabric fashion!! Bows of gratitude to the designing geniuses from SLPCo and Sew Caroline for allowing us to create using your visions! And the biggest thank you to Sarah, you are an organizing goddess and I am always excited to work with you! And thank you a million times to everyone who reads this! I know your time is valuable so thank you for loaning me a few minutes! And please check out the other tour participants! They are incredibly talented and created some beautiful outfits!!! See you soon!!!
