So it is summer break around these parts and for my house, that means 2 major things! No school and my children react to some magical growth potion. So the baby fashionista is facing summer fun and alas no clothing that fits her well! I decided that this is a perfect time to try out a new-to-me pattern company! So I investigated Petite Stitchery and Company!
I decided that the Diva’s outfit needed to be the Sparrow Peplum Top & Tunic matched with the Fawn Leggings! She is a big fan of the high-low hem and wears leggings almost every day so that was a no-brainer. The only slight change I made to the pattern was the omission of the collar on the Sparrow. I plan on making another with no sleeves for the upcoming heat wave!
I didn’t choose to do the tuxedo option for the Fawn leggings due to the ever dwindling supply of solid colors in my stash but I have mental designs on a fancy pair soon. The length was great, which is a problem we have with a lot of patterns!
The bodice of the peplum is lined which is great for the developing young ladies modesty issues. She hates elastic so the yoga waistband option is a godsend! And the whole outfit came together super quickly!
So head over to the Petite Stitchery website and check out their pattern selection! And then head over to the Facebook group for inspiration from the tons of creations! I can’t wait to sew up my next pattern!
